Low-Voltage High-Current Fork Lift Motor Drive

The goal of this project is to develop a 48-V input, 500-A output inverter for a forklift induction motor. This project was generously funded by Tatung Company from 2008-2009.
Key Technologies:
  • Clad board-based power stage design with paralleled MOSFETs and high current bus bars
  • Field-oriented vector control
  • Closed-loop control with decoupling for fast torque response
